Kristen Stewart Inspired Makeup

I recently saw the latest Chanel makeup campaign featuring Kristen Stewart and was totally captivated by her beautiful makeup in the photos. Kristen rocks a grungy makeup look like no other, and it always still manages to look glamorous. Today I've got for you a makeup look that was inspired by Kristen's plummy brown smokey eye and red lip combo, and I love how it turned out. This is the easiest eye look in the world if you want to look glam without too much effort or too much blending. Her grungy makeup is never perfect, but that adds to the overall effect. It's perfect for Autum/ Winter.

September & October Favourites

Hello my friends! Happy Sunday. I haven't done a favourites post in quite a while, so I thought I'd show you my favourite makeup and beauty items for the past couple of months. I went to the US in August, so quite a few of my favourite things were picked up on my trip.
Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base
This is a lovely rich moisturiser that was designed to sit nicely under makeup, creating the perfect base without leaving any greasy residue. It sinks into the skin completely, leaving it feeling fresh and ready for makeup. Plus is smells heavenly. The tiniest bit goes such a long way, so one pot lasts me months.
Beauty Blender
This is a staple in probably everybody's makeup routine, in my opinion it's a game changer. If you haven't tried blending out your foundation and concealer with a damp beauty sponge, you need to sort that out right now! I've tried lots of so called dupes, but I prefer the original Beauty Blender by far. I also thing the Blender Cleanser soap is great.
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
You know how it is, with a constant influx of new foundations to try, old favourites can often be forgotten for a time. That's what happened with this one for a few months, but I picked it back up and remembered just how good it is. Medium coverage that looks like skin and lasts really well. It makes me look quite fresh and awake, which I'm very grateful for!
Milani Conceal & Perfect Foundation
This is one of my US drugstore purchases, and I've really been enjoying it. It's a medium to full coverage foundation with a thick consistency that I find blends best with a Beauty Blender. It has great lasting power and doesn't look too heavy on my skin. Definitely worth a try if you haven't already.
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
I looked for this at the drugstore after hearing such good things about it, and I wasn't disappointed. It's a beautiful shade, not too warm, not too cool. It's perfect on my NC20 skin, and blends out effortlessly.  It's heavily scented though, so if fragranced makeup bothers you, I'd avoid this product. However, it has that tropical holiday scent that so many of us love, and I quite enjoy it. The product itself is fantastic, especially if you often find that bronzers can look too orange on you. This one might be what you've been looking for.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
I won't talk about this for long, I already swatched and reviewed it in another post. Suffice to say I'm still loving it. I've heard that it's being restocked on some sites, so grab it if you see it. It's wonderful.
Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser (Brightener)
We have this product in the U.K, but not the full range of shades. I managed to get the brightening shade in the US, it's a very pale pink that works in conjunction with my usual completely brighten my under eye area. It works so well.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara
Before my trip to Florida I almost never wore waterproof mascara, but I picked one up to stay on in the humidity. Now I'm completely converted, and feel like regular mascara smudges far too quickly. Plus, I often get asked what false lashes I'm wearing, and it's just this mascara. It gives volume and length, and is really cheap. Winner.
Kat Von D Trooper Tattoo Liner
The best liquid liner I've ever used. Extremely black, waterproof and easy to use. I have multiple back ups.

Kat Von D Lock-it Setting Powder

For years and years I searched for a concealer that wouldn't crease under my eyes, to no avail. However, once I started setting my concealer with loose translucent powder, I never looked back. I realised that as long as I set it, pretty much any concealer will hold up. The latest one I have tried is Kat Von D's Lock-it Setting Powder.

Firstly, the packaging is as cool as the rest of the Kat Von D makeup range. It's sturdy, and the star shaped sifter doesn't let too much product out at once.

The powder itself is SO silky and finely milled, making it perfect for the under eye area. It doesn't ever look heavy or cakey. It has a brightening quality that lasts all day long, and I love that.

If you're someone who likes to set, or 'bake', your concealer, this product is a solid choice.

I got mine at Debenhams for £20.
